Tech Forum: "Underwater Communication" by Manu Ignatius More than 70% of earth's surface is covered with water. However, only around 5% of that is explored by humans. Why is it that we know less about oceans as compared to the surface of the Mars or Moon? Key technologies that are required for exploration continue to be a challenge in comparison with terrestrial wireless technologies. This talk explores need for underwater wireless communication and localization technologies, challenges and the future of underwater networks.
