Fashion has always been a hotbed for innovation — from the invention of the sewing machine to the rise of e-commerce, but how is modern technology redefining the industry today? In this talk, Nikita will take you through the evolution of the fashion industry and where technology is taking it next, from AR/VR dressing rooms to AI influenced design and beyond.

Speaker Profile:

As a fashion-tech junkie and professional classical dancer, Nikita Menon's relationship with the arts began at a young age. At 22, she was part of the 3-member team that organised The Bridge Fashion Incubator, the first fashion-tech incubator programme in SouthEast Asia initiated by the Textile and Fashion Federation, Singapore. Her passion for creative technology has driven her to work on interesting projects such as creating algorithm-based fashion recommendations and virtual-fit experiences.

Nikita, a fashion graduate, is currently pursuing a MSc in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence for the Creative Industries at the University of the Arts London.
